Abstract

Our SLAstic approach aims to increase the resource efficiency of distributed, component-based software systems employing architecture-based runtime reconfiguration. Relevant aspects about the software system, including its composition, deployment, and quality-of-service (QoS) objectives are specified in architectural models. At runtime, these models are updated based on continuous monitoring and used for online QoS evaluation in order to plan and execute appropriate reconfiguration plans. In this talk, I would like to provide an overview of the approach and the tool infrastructure for monitoring and online adaptation, which has been developed for the experimental evaluation.
