Abstract

Supplementary models related to
Kremin, I., Guo, Z., Rüpke, L. (2024). Evaluating the physics of outcrop-to-outcrop flow with hydrothermal flow models, Geochemistry, Geophysics, Geosystems.

Model and configuration details
Simulation software: OpenFOAM V. 7 and hydrothermalFoam, which can be accessed via https://zenodo.org/records/3937205.

The folders simulationSet1, simulationSet2 and simulationSet3 contain the geometries and numerical grids for each simulation set in constant/polyMesh. The conductive temperature initial condition can be obtained by running run.sh in conductiveTemp_initCond. Cases for which the initial condition was a hydrothermal siphon are listed in siphon_initCond_simulationSet2.

For more information, see the Methods section in the related manuscript.
