The Kieler Wirkstoff-Zentrum KiWiZ (Centre for Marine Natural Products) at IFM-GEOMAR is investigating opportunities to use substances from microbial communties for medical and other
applications. The new field of Marine Biotechnology is an emering area in Marine Sciences.
